Hello, and thanks for following along! It's been a year since Madison's last surgery and she is still having a rough time eating and drinking orally. We met with UCLA specialists this month for an in-depth swallow study. They've since requested pre and post surgery images and will determine next steps.
That said, she grazes. Thin liquids don't go down easily but thicker liquids do. She's figured out to eat pizza and other health foods to keep her caloric intake consistent with other college students. She's been back at it at Moorpark College and maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
