!!
On Kona, the locals use rock formations to send messages known as Hawaiian graffiti. We had camping reservations at the beach with close friends... the good news.
The bad... we needed to be in Boston starting that weekend for 5+ weeks.
This was awesome, thanks team Madison... we love each of you!!!

We were invited in April to a lavish Gala hosted by the American Cancer Society and 2014 ACS honorary chairman Jim Foster, CEO of Charles River Labs. The goal, raise $1M for the Astrazeneca Hope Lodge here in Boston. Jim and his team were very gracious hosts and are clearly strong supporters of the the American Cancer Society and the Hope Lodge.
Link to the April 2014 Gala Photo Bucket. Again, thanks congratulations to Jim Foster, his wife Audrey, and the Charles River Labs team for being gracious hosts and exceeding their 2014 financial goal for the Hope Lodge in Boston. On that...
I simply cannot say enough positive things about the Hope Lodge Boston! It's a tight knit community filled with emotional support helping cancer patients to focus on treatment and recovery. Madison commented that everyone there has cancer and is going through treatment. Madi commented "People there wanted to get to know me, not about my cancer".
The Boston Hope Lodge offers transportation to and from treatments, volunteers frequently bring dinner in for patients and caregivers and hands down, the staff is awesome!! The first floor has a yoga room, an art room, library, large living room, media/theater room with plush recliners with a killer sound system, and 4 mega kitchens with a common eating area where patients and caregivers congregate. Floors 2-4 have mini-suites and on each floor, a laundry room, and large shared TV/living room. In all 4 corners of floors 2-4 are sitting areas with two windows and one recliner. If people want their own mini sun room, there are 12 total and by design, seating for one.
