She continues to feed herself food and liquid meds in the g-tube, but can't yet use the pill crusher (as she increases the strength and mobility of her left hand).
Doctor appointment tomorrow, checking up on her wounds.
Madison continues to increase her mobility, and less mucus is flowing than before. That is AWESOME.
She continues to feed herself food and liquid meds in the g-tube, but can't yet use the pill crusher (as she increases the strength and mobility of her left hand). Doctor appointment tomorrow, checking up on her wounds. Another day better than the last with more fluids and more (feeding tube) food. Madison is now mostly capable of tending to her wound dressings with the exception of tearing the tape because of the weakness (like an infant) of her left hand. That said, it's entertaining watching her try... Madison is VERY determined, and can feed and hydrate herself. Mom and dad were scolded in the hospital: "don't help her, SHE needs to do it".
Next Steps: The nurse will come to the house around 1:00 PM on Monday, and Physical Therapy about 4:00 PM. Longer and more frequent walks seem to help reduce the mucus, thread below. |
